My Mission

When I think about my life, and my work in the world, it always comes back to getting more free. It is always about Liberation. 

The three pillars of my life are Sobriety, Global Travel, and Yoga. 

I left the USA in 2021 searching for freedom. I found myself in South Korea, where my drinking came to a head. I was faced with a choice - quit drinking or risk losing my life. I'm proud to say I chose to get sober, I chose to save my life. 

The core of my sobriety has been my yoga practice - in all its beautiful forms, not just the physical postures. I began a daily devotional practice, which consisted of yoga postures, breath work, and active meditation. It changed my life. It liberated me.

After years of traveling, teaching yoga around the world, and doing it all joyfully alcohol-free, I discovered something simple, yet profound: life becomes more beautiful when you meet it with clarity and breath.

Now, I help others travel the world without alcohol and get a little more liberated from what is holding them back - through yoga, breath work, and meditation. 

Author Liz Gilbert says, "There is no such thing as one way liberation."

When you get more free, everyone else around you becomes more free as well. I cannot think of a greater gift - for you, and for the world.

Vinyasa Yoga

Powerful yoga asana practice  linking breath to movement. Vinyasa translates as, "to place in a special way." This practice builds both physical strength and brings mental clarity.

Yoga Sculpt

A mindful workout that is guaranteed to make you sweat! I love Yoga Sculpt because it brings the mindfulness of yoga into a heart pumping high intensity workout! Grab your weights! 

Restorative Yoga

A deeply relaxing practice that relaxes your physical body and nervous system. We use props such as bolsters, blocks, and blankets to help you relax into postures that gently lengthen your muscles and fascia. Expect a cozy, comfy space where you can relax and let go.

Sober Yoga Programs

I lead both 30 and 60 day Sober Yoga Programs to transform your relationship to alcohol and show you the power of a steady, devotional yoga practice. 

This is so much more than helping you abstain from drinking. This is a deep, transformational program that teaches how yoga philosophy, yoga postures, breath work, and meditation can help you build a life you do not have to escape from. 

Meditation

I teach both Active and Seated Silent Meditation. Active Meditation is helpful for people with ADD, Depression, Anxiety, and negative thought patterns.

 

An active meditation practice is deeply cleansing, while a seated silent meditation practice helps us dive deep - into ourselves and the yogic teachings.

Before I pursued yoga full time, I was a commercial property manager for some of the most premier Class A buildings in downtown Chicago. I built my career on being an expert in Amenity Management, and I know first hand the transformational power of wellness in the corporate office.

I am a passionate student just as much as I am a passionate teacher. I firmly believe the classroom is more than just a physical institution - it's around the globe. 

From studying Religious Studies at a traditional University, to living in South Korea, studying in Buddhist temples across Asia, teaching yoga fulltime in Australia, or obtaining my 300 Hour Yoga Teacher Training in Bali - I continue my education in diverse places around the world.

Luther College

I graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Religion from Luther College in Decorah, Iowa in 2016. My studies focused on Southeast Asian Religion and Interfaith Dialogue. This inspired my move to Asia and where I fell in love with both Buddhist and Hindu philosophy. 

2018

200 Hour Yoga Teacher Certifcaiton
Core Power Yoga - Chicago

My yoga training program with Core Power Yoga was wonderful. This certification includes a deep knowledge of yoga postures, teaching and sequencing a yoga class, a study of anatomy, and preliminary yoga philosophy. 

2019

Yoga Sculpt Teacher Certification

Core Power Yoga - Chicago

A yoga sculpt program provides its recipients with a fitness instructor certification. It delves into sequencing and teaching of a yoga sculpt class that not only increases strength but keeps our students safe and motivated. 

2024

The Aligned Coaching Certification

Spiritual Intelligence, LLC

The Align Coaching Certification™ is a year long program on Active Meditation and Spiritual Psychology. You emerge from the program a Certified Meditation Teacher and Spiritual Psychology Coach, empowered to guide profound healing, expansion, and soul-aligned transformation for yourself and others.

2025

300 Hour Yoga Teacher Certification

The Mindful Life Practice - Bali, Indonesia

The 300 Hour Yoga Program is an advanced course for experienced teachers. This course hones your skills as a teacher of yoga postures, but also delves deep into yoga philosophy, the teaching of advanced breath work, Bhakti Yoga, Yin Yoga, and meditation. The Mindful Life Practice is a sober yoga school, with special modules on sober yoga programs and yoga for addiction and mental health.
